| Oh yeah, before I and thus the world forget all about it, my short story "Six Elogs Deep", originally published in Lynx Eye, won an honorable mention in the 2005 Pushcart Prize. I don't write many short stories, but a good percent have been published or won contest recognition. Not that I'm bragging. I have to say something on this here page. | ||||||

June 18: Starting Dec 1, I will have a 7 day auction on E-bay for the first signed autograph of THE KILLING SEA, all proceeds to Aceh grassroots charity. The copy will be signed to the winning bidder, complete with photograph. So bid! It could be a collectible! It could turn up in somebody's attic a hundred years from now and be worth lots of bread loaves because people will need paper to burn! NEWER NEWS August 20, 2006 Scholastic Book Fairs will be selling a special edition of THE KILLING SEA. I will be in their promotional video, seen by 24 million kids/parents/teachers/classroom mascots. Taping will be early Sept. in Chicago. UPDATE: How did the taping go? Read here November 17, 2006 Richard Lewis survives sea snake attack! During a recent boat trip to outer islands, an orange sea snake the size of a fire hose charged our intrepid surfer, writer and adventurer, who calmly and courageously proceeded to paddle away at a great rate of speed all the way to the beach and even up the beach, leaving twin tracks of churning arms. There he encountered a salt water crocodile...well, no, that was a different time. Upon my return, I find THE KILLING SEA has received its first review, a mostly favorable one from Kirkus that leaves me mostly pleased.
